Post Discussion: Conflict Surrounding Aging Policy

 

This week’s readings provide you with the history of social policy for America’s aging. The authors discuss how the conflict surrounding aging policy has broadened and sharpened over the years. Hudson states, “Aging policy became caught up in this highly charged political environment” (page 9).

Identify and discuss one or two factors that contribute to this highly charged political environment facing the development of today’s aging policy.
