PCN-435 Week 4 Motivational Interviewing Chart and Essay

Create a chart detailing the five techniques used in motivational interviewing:

  Define and illustrate counselor techniques of motivational interviewing. Explain how the techniques help overcome the conventional problems of transference and countertransference.

Write an essay of 250-500 words in which you explain the “spirit” of motivational interviewing and its primary principles.

 

Include at least one scholarly reference in addition to the textbook in your paper.

 

APA format is required for essays only. Solid academic writing is expected for all presentation formats, and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
